Kingdom

from Sun Dog by John Krane

about

I just found the tracks for this one--thought they were lost. It might be partially re-recorded before the official release, but I kind of like how raw and out-of-it it sounds.

This is a breakup-type song and it just sort of poured out. I did all of the instruments on it, because when I am alone, theeeeeennn I willl be freeeee.

lyrics

I don't know what I'd do without you,
I guess I'll figure it out
Everyone can see when a ship is going down

If you want to call me,
I won't call you out,
Everyone can see that my kingdom's coming down

Love, what do you do about that?

Drink a little poison,
Take a little time out
Everyone can see that you don't miss me much now

I guess I'll find a road that goes
Somewhere that hasn't been found
Everyone can see that my kingdom's coming down

Love, what do you do about that?

Make me who you want, and I'll be what you need
You're the type who always gets your way
But you can't be alone, and I cannot believe
The way you drift along through every day

I don't know what I'd do without you,
I guess I'll figure it out
Everyone can see when a ship is going down

If you want to find me,
I won't find you out,
Everyone can see that my kingdom's coming down

Love.
