Moon Dog

from Sun Dog by John Krane

/

about

This was actually recorded before the opener, "Sun Dog." In many ways, this is a theme album about being alone, and appropriately, I play all of the instruments on both tracks.

However, the album was getting a bit dark by this point, and as Sun Dog/Moon Dog are kind of mantra-like, I wanted to do something fun. Andy Boostrum, an incredible musician with an incredible voice, stopped by my house to record a few of his own songs and I had him do the end of this one.

It's kind of out of nowhere and some people might not appreciate a joke sandwiched between a bunch of depressing stuff, but you know what? Fuck you. It's my album and I like it.

lyrics

When I am alone then I will be free
Angels have the hardest time
Moon dog brings me peace of mind
All the time
