about

This is a mantra-like thing that didn't want a second part written to it. It sets up the album, because it's about solitude, and the album's really about being alone. That's why there's 11 goddamn musicians on it.

Anyways, this is one of the few that I did alone. As with all of the piano songs on this album, the piano and vocals were tracked at the same time.

lyrics

When I am alone, then I will be free
I heard you calling me from a place beyond the sea
I prayed my God to find a Sun Dog to erase my mind

about

Krane came to St. Louis in 2000 and started writing story-driven spacegrass music in 2004. His new album "Sun Dog" took 3 ... more years to complete and includes guest appearances from some of the most talented musicians in St. Louis.
